- Allocate a place/corner or preferably a room for tuition. This tuition room should be set in a way to be more free and creative than a classroom. This will help develop and encourage your child's creativeness.
- The tuition room must also be spacious and comfortable to make learning easy. You are also encouraged to remove any distraction from these rooms like toys, television, computer, PSP and etc. Without these distractions, your child can focus better and longer.
- Pack the room with books so that it can act as a library. This helps improve your child's knowledge. In addition, keep some storybooks in the room for your child to read in the event he gets bored.
- Create Lesson plans/Time Tables. This helps both you and your child progress steadily and sticks to plan.
- Encourage your child to keep a diary or memo so you can monitor his tuition progress like what he have learnt, what he did not understand and etc.
- Invest in exam papers and textbooks that the school did not offer. Exam papers are a good gauge to measure his progress while textbooks allow him to learn additional information. Check out our tuition center's exam papers now.
- Computer games/educational games. Reward your child with games, be it computer games or educational games. The point is to link playing and learning together so he feels that learning is fun too. Remember to limit his playing time so that he would not be more interested in playing than learning.
